New Items
I got super inspired by my growing collection of fabulous semi-precious and vintage glass beads and decided to make some earrings. You see, I recently moved a bunch of beads into little fluted tart molds and they look so darn cute, I couldn't help but be inspired.
I've been corralling sweet supplies for awhile now and just haven't had the time to photo and list them all. I'm working on it!! They are all being listed today (and tomorrow unfortunately, my computer isn't as motivated as I am to get them listed). So....
Keep checking back to see what's new!!
Have a lovely week.

A Bit of Good News
(My picture is awful, click on the link on my sidebar to be taken to the actual printed version and to see my Halloween Ribbon)
When the magazine came I immediately scanned for my item. I didn't find it. Uh oh! I thought I must have missed it, so..... I scanned again (more carefully this time) still no item..... So... I sat down and scrutinized every page.... then, I found a Halloween ribbon that I made at the last minute and sent in with my first submission!! I was so surprised! I was a little disappointed (still totally honored though) because I thought that they were publishing something else. Well.... I continued to peruse this absolutely fabulous magazine Somerset Gallery and low and behold there was my second item (the one I had actually sent in this time).
I was beyond excited, to say the least!!
Hope you are all having an absolutely lovely summer!

Missing You.
Life has been super crazy around here but let me try and get you caught up on what's been happening. First, I was in a little "Petite Inspiration Box Swap". Seriously, these are some of my all time favorite swaps. I just love everything little. So..... here are the boxes I made and shipped to my partners. This is what they saw when they opened their boxes....
And these are all of the little goodies I stuffed their boxes with. I hope that they liked receiving them as much as I enjoyed making them. Tomorrow I'll get pictures of all the fabulousness that I received and show you. Alright, so I said I was busy, well...... here is one of the reasons. My sweet Emma graduated from 8th grade. (bragging alert!!) She ranked 5th in her class of 500, she was nominated for P.E. girl student of the year, Academic girl student of the year, Overall girl student of the year, she was President of CJSF (a scholarship foundation), and Drill Team Captain. Wow!! (I warned you about the bragging). We had an 8th grade dance, award ceremony, field trip, Drill team field trip, cheerleader try-outs (congrats on making the JV team as an incoming freshman), and lots of tumbling classes to get ready for try-outs. Wheh!! The one in red is graduating High School this Thursday. This picture is at home before Prom, goofing around with her little brothers. She's keeping us busy too. We've been figuring out college financing, senior poetry reading, senior awards, school fashion show modeling, prom, prom shopping, (and boy does prom entail a lot of running around) sending our graduation announcements, finals, oh yeah, and her school movie premier!! The little ones are chaos causers too!! lol Little league games, school parties, airtrix classes, baseball practice, team parties, little league closing ceremonies, ugh!!Here's Audrey and her date. They look so nice together.
Well, I told you I was busy, Thanks for listening to all of my chaos. I just didn't want anyone out there to think that I've been neglecting you by choice. LOL
Summer is finally here, fun is to come! "Relaxation and creation" that's going to be my goal and motto for the summer.

Treasury Love
'Perfectly Pink Gifts For Her' by TwigsAndLace
I am so excited!! I can finally put an entire Etsy Treasury on my blog with links and all!!
Julie Collings from theadventuresofbluegirlxo has a wonderful post today showcasing a treasury that one of her lovely items was featured in. I've always wanted to do this and handmadeology figured out a way!!
O.k, so I thought it would be super easy but it takes a little finesse, I had to do it twice, and I had to make it small and 3 rows to make it fit. Give it a try and see what you think.

Blue Love
Here's a little tag for a Valentines challenge I'm in. The theme: "Love is in the Air". The rules: distress, lace, and no pink or red. No problem......no really, as long as you use romantic colors and fabrics it screams "Valentines". Don't you think?!
Tell me about one of your favorite challenges, if you feel like it.

Spring Sneak Peek
Well, It is true!! This morning I heard that another storm is headed for the East Coast. I know you're all probably sick of thembut, I sure do think it would be fun to be there right now. It's just to darn hot here in So. Cal. I mean seriously, it's winter right? 80degree days are confusing my plants. Look, they're all starting to bud and bloom and we aren't even half way through winter yet.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure if I lived on the East Coast I'd be dreaming of 80 degree days too. So, I just thought I'd send you all a little warmth and sunshine from my confused garden today. Don't worry, Spring will be here before you know it. Stay warm and dry!!

Working On
A Sweet Marie themed tag for a fellow artist. I love this image!!
Then some press kits for an upcoming event. I think press kits are fabulous. Every time I get an opportunity to make them I jump at the chance. I use the event as a reason to create new items for my shops. The crowns will be in my goods shop soon and the ribbon flower is a decorated Bobbi pin. How fun right?!!
Well, today is the first day that all of my kiddos are back in school. The house is destroyed from 3 weeks of having all four of them home. The tree is still up! ugh. I guess the next few days wont be quite so creative but I'll be glad when every things back in order.
Have a lovely day

Flower Swap
A while back I was in a flower swap with my Marie Antoinette art group.(link on the right side of my blog). These are the flowers I made. It was really fun learning the new technique of melting fabric and layering the petals. Super Easy too!!
Most of my fellow swappers used the same technique. Amazingly, they all look soooooo different.
I love to see the different ways that people use the same techniques.
I am sorry though that I lost the labels with "who made what" on them. All of these ladies are super talented. You should hope over to the Marie site and check out all of the artists work.
Here they are all together. Yummy!! Have a wonderful Saturday.
