My baby went on her very first date tonight!
Oh, it's so bittersweet. I am so excited for her. She's all butterflies. "I told her to hold on tight to that feeling. Life goes so quickly. Cherish every moment."
O.K, Here's the scoop: He's adorable. He's terribly shy. She had to ask him out. He said "I'd love too."(how sweet!) When he got here tonight he told her she looked beautiful. (Ohhh!!) I think I might actually have said that out loud! I hope not. Then I told daddy to give Audrey money (she did ask him out after all). That's when this darling, well trained boy said "I'll pay for Audrey". (Ohhh!! again) I'm pretty sure I just thought it that time. I hope. He also shook daddy's hand.
Hubby and I both agree that he had to have been coached. Thank you to whomever coached him, you did a great job.
My family members are kinda freakin out. But, you know what, I know my daughter. She's a very responsible girl. She tells me everything. Also, I remember what I was doing at 16. O.K, I don't want her to do any of that but, I DO want her to have a little bit of fun. I'm going to be sending her off to college in 2 short years. She needs to learn how to be independent a little at a time or college is going to be really hard to adapt too.
Anyway, I just wanted to share all of my ooey-gooey mommy moments from tonight. Cherish every moment you've got with your little ones. Time goes so fast.

What a sweet blog you have! Thank you. :)
Your thanking us for listening...no no!... its thank you so much for sharing such an adorable moment in your life.
Kind restores faith that their are decent and well mannered young people still out there when you hear so much negatives on the kids these days. Bring on the Olden day dates they are just so precious and how wonderful your daughter had got to experience something so beautiful.
