O.K, I know Valentines Day is over!! I just wanted to show everyone what I've been making.

This is from a Joli Paquet tutorial. It was really fun and I love how it turned out. I'm going to miss them while their away. Don't worry, they'll be back later next month with lots of inspirations for us. Lucky us!! Thank you!!This beautiful ring I made (I'm so proud of myself) from a tutorial on the amazing blog A Year of Color. I think you can still sign up. It's really fun! There are fantastic tutorials, wonderful photos and of course brilliant guest designers. This ring was from a tutorial by the amazing Julie Collings. I got her fantastic book for Christmas and wanted to try my hand at making these. Of course Julie's are far more fantastic!! Still, mine is pretty cool. I made two and gave them to my girls for Valentines Day. They were so happy, they had been begging me for them.

Now, I've got to move on and start focusing on my youngest daughters slumber party this coming Friday night. She's turning 12!! Can you believe how fast time flys?

Look at this beautiful tree in my front yard. I wanted to get a picture of it when it was all blooms and the day slipped away from me. Then, it rained for 3 days and unfortunately the rain washed away a lot of the little white flowers. It was funny because one day when it hailed I couldn't tell what was hail and what was flowers. The ground was blanketed with these precious little flowers making it look like the snow we long for. Anyhow, back to the tree, it is a little confused. It thinks that it is spring. It does this every year. On the first warm day it starts to bloom. I feel bad for this tree because it doesn't know the seasons but, I am glad for us because we get to enjoy it's beauty long before all of the other trees wake up. Maybe this tree is just a glory hound. Maybe, it just likes to be the center of attention. It is!! All of the other trees on our block are just barren. I bet my lovely tree makes all of the other trees jealous. Oh, how silly I'm being!!

Anyway, I just thought you might want a sneak peek at spring. I hope it cheers you up, it cheers me up everytime I pull into my driveway.

Swap Crazy

Swaps are in the mail!!

I signed up for three different Swaps this month. That means five different packages to create. Yeah!! I did it! I knew I would but still. So, here's a sneak peek at what I shipped out. I don't want to show too much. I want my buddies to be surprised.

This was so fun and so exciting but also extremely stressful. Don't get me wrong, I WILL do it again (every chance I get)!! It's only that these were my first swaps and I really wanted them to be good. I really want my swap buddies to be happy.

So, I stressed, and stressed, I made stuff, then made different stuff. First I tried to make something in a style I thought others would like, then I went back and made them again in my style. I was sooo much happier when I was true to myself.

(But, that's true in every aspect of life right?!)

Well, now I'm off to make some things just for fun. I've been dying to make some of the beautiful Valentines I've seen in tutorials. I'll post pictures when their done.
